I was really good about updating a blog for Abbie from about 6 weeks to 2.5 years listing her developmental milestones and sharing pictures and videos. I figured I better create a blog for Natalie and do the same (and I'm going to try to update Abbie's blog again periodically).
Natalie Tyler Kasseckert is our rainbow baby who made her grand entrance on Fri Dec 9, 2011 at 9:36PM weighing 6lbs 8oz and was 20 inches long.
"Rainbow Babies" are the understanding that the beauty of a rainbow does not negate the ravages of the storm. When a rainbow appears, it does not mean that the storm never happened or that the family is not still dealing with its aftermath. What it means is that something beautiful and full of light has appeared in the midst of the darkness and the clouds. Storm clouds may still loom over but the rainbow provides a counterbalance of color, energy, and much needed hope.
We chose to use the name of her Big Brother that she will never get to meet :-( as her middle name. We feel blessed to have added her to our family and as proud Big Sister Abbie says there are now 5 of us - Mommy, Daddy, Abbie, Natalie and Angel Tyler - I love that she includes Tyler :-).
